Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 2026

Welcome to ByteSub. Your privacy matters. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website, desktop application, browser extension, and related services. By using ByteSub, you agree to the practices described below.

§ 01

Information We Collect

Provided by you — when you create an account, purchase a plan, or contact support:

Collected automatically — for stability and performance: IP address, browser type, operating system, app version, crash reports, and download metadata.

Browser extension — temporarily processes downloadable media URLs, file metadata, and video stream data solely for download detection. We do not collect your browsing history.

§ 02

How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

§ 03

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your billing details and payment information directly and is the seller on record for your purchase. ByteSub never receives or stores your full card details — we only receive your email address, the plan you bought, and your subscription status. Paddle operates under its own privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy.

§ 04

Cookies & Analytics

ByteSub may use cookies to improve website functionality, remember preferences, and analyse performance. You may disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.

§ 05

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide services, maintain licenses, comply with law, and resolve disputes. You may request account deletion by contacting support.

§ 06

Security

We implement encryption, secure authentication, access controls, and license verification. No system can guarantee complete security, but we take every reasonable measure.

§ 07

Third-Party Services

ByteSub may integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies separately.

§ 08

Children's Privacy

ByteSub is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

§ 09

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or withdraw consent. Contact us through our support channels to exercise these rights.

§ 10

Contact & Updates

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of ByteSub after changes constitutes acceptance. For privacy inquiries, email admin@bytesub.pro.
